THE STORY OF EDEN PASTICCERIA
In 2015, Daniele and his wife Mary began a journey that would change their lives forever. Leaving their home in Italy, they arrived in Australia with nothing more than a dream, two suitcases, and a deep love for their culture. It was here that Eden Pasticceria began to take shape, born from passion, sacrifice, and the desire to bring a true taste of Italy to their new home.
Daniele comes from a humble Calabrian fishing family, where hard work and simplicity shaped his values. Vincenzo, from the beautiful town of Positano, grew up in a family of butchers, learning from a young age the importance of tradition, precision, and quality ingredients. Two different worlds, two humble beginnings, both guided by the same love for authentic Italian flavours.
Over the years, Daniele became a world-renowned pastry chef and food artist, recognised for his creativity, craftsmanship, and artistic vision. His work combines the beauty of design with the soul of Italian pastry. Vincenzo, after years of experience as a restaurant manager and pastry chef, brings his deep knowledge of classic Neapolitan pastries such as the sfogliatella, the pastiera napoletana, and the art of perfecting taste and texture.
Their paths crossed, and from the very first day they worked together, they knew they shared the same dream to create something unique. The idea of building a business together was born naturally from friendship, respect, and passion.
In 2025, that dream became reality. Eden Pasticceria entered a new chapter, led by Daniele Barresi and Vincenzo Cuomo, two Italian pastry chefs united by one vision to bring the heart of Italy to Sydney through authentic pastries, creativity, and pure joy.
Together, they have transformed Eden into one of the most loved and talked-about pastry destinations in the city. From delicate cannoli and luxurious cakes to the rich aroma of fresh coffee, every creation is made with care and heart. Daniele’s mastery of wedding cakes and design meets Vincenzo’s traditional pastry knowledge and expertise in customer experience, creating a perfect balance between art and authenticity.
Their energy doesn’t stop in the kitchen. Known for their live Millefoglie shows, Daniele and Vincenzo bring their Italian spirit directly to weddings and events, performing the art of cake-making live, surrounded by music, laughter, and the joyful rhythm of Italian celebration. With lemon napkins swirling in the air and Italian songs setting the scene, their performances have become a sensation. Guests don’t just see a cake being made, they experience a moment of Italy.
What truly sets them apart is their happiness. Whether they are crafting a new dessert, filming a funny video on TikTok, or sharing a laugh with customers at the counter, their passion shines through. Eden has become more than a pastry shop, it’s a place filled with life, where joy is contagious, and where sometimes even the tarantella breaks out between the tables, customers and pastry chefs dancing together in pure Italian spirit.
